What was once thought impossible is now possible- behold the glory of the Impossible Whopper, a plant-based alternative available now at your local Burger King. Although not completely vegan as of yet (mayo has a lot of egg!), this vegetarian alternative will surely convert a lot of the fast-casual/high-dining segment back to their childhood roots.
According to Statista, Burger King’s international revenue showed a steep drop starting in 2012. Their pivot towards this plant-based high in protein alternative might contribute to their comeback.
